Say hello to Aurora the rainbow calf. Aurora's coloration was inspired by the Northern lights weaving across the night time sky. The main body color is navy blue. The markings, which for the most part are jagged and wrap around the body, are made with tie dyed fur and sport a multitude of colors. The main colors of the markings are mint green and pink, with a dash of purple. The feet and tip of the muzzle are lavendar blue.
This gorgeous looking plushie stands about 30 cm tall and is made to be semi-posable, meaning that it is able to alter between basic standing and sitting positions. It is made in a lifelike style and features many intricate details, such as fully handsewn markings, realistic cloven hooves and a detailed muzzle with proper mouth and nostrils. There's even a cute little tongue, that can be tucked away inside the mouth. All in all, this handmade plushie is made from a whopping 112 handsewn pieces!
This cute plushie has been made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have cats.
Aurora's body is made from two brands of super soft rabbit style faux fur with a pile length of about 8 mm. The tail tip is made from striped faux fur with a pile length of about 50 mm. The feet and nose are made from synthetic suede, a fabric that is made to resemble brushed leather and has a soft feel to it. The furry parts of the muzzle is made from short pile minky. Upholstery grade velour has been used for the tongue. Aurora has been fitted with 14 mm plastic safety eyes, which are lined with black imitate leather to improve their shape and to make them more lifelike. The legs have been sealed off from the rest of the body, allowing them to be stuffed firmly enough to carry the weight of the the body, while the rest of the calf is stuffed much more lightly. Plastic beads have been added to the lower legs and tail tip for extra weight.
This plushie is best used as an ornamental piece for indoors decoration purposes. It is not suitable as a toy and should be kept away from young children and pets at all times. It can be used for play with older children if handled gently. Keep in mind though, that this is an artist doll. It is a work of art and not a toy. The plushie can't be washed if it gets dirty and may easily get damaged.
