Item Description:
Say hello to Mayflower, the beautiful snow white calf with jet black markings.
This gorgeous girl stands about 30 cm tall and measures 41 cm from nose to butt. Mayflower is modelled after the British White, an old breed of naturally hornless and short haired cattle with ties to the ancient, wild white cattle indigenous to Great Britain.
As the name suggests British Whites are mostly white, save for a hand full of black or red markings restricted to the ears, eyes, muzzle and ideally also the legs. Mayflower is no exception to that rule. She has glistening white fur with black markings located on her face and the lower part of her front legs.
This cute British white calf will be made upon order. As with all items in my store, this lifelike plush was designed by me and will also be reproduced by me. A lot of effort and care goes into making a detailed plush like this. Particularly into the snout and cloven hooves, which contain many tiny parts and are notoriously hard to assemble, but also into sewing the markings and carefully trimming of the excess fur. Once finished, this plush stands approximately 30 cm tall and measures around 41 cm from nose to butt.
Materials:
This plush calf will be made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have a cat.
Making a calf plush like this usually takes me 1-2 weeks, but I may need longer, depending on how busy I am at the time of the order. Once finished the plush will be shipped within 2 workdays.
The body will be made from two shades of regular quality faux fur with a pile length of 14 mm. 70 mm Luxuary mongolian faux fur is to be used for the tail tip. Nose and feet will be made with synthetic suede, a fabric that is made to resemble brushed leather and has a soft feel to it. Short pile minky will be used for the furry parts of the snout and micro fiber cloth for the tongue. The plush will be fitted with 14 mm plastic safety eyes, which are lined with black imitate leather to improve their shape and to make them more lifelike. The body will be stuffed with siliconized polyester fibers until firm enough for the plush to stand properly.
Usage:
This plush is best used as an ornamental piece for indoors decoration purposes. It is not suitable as a toy and should be kept away from young children and pets at all times. It can be used for play with older children if handled gently. Keep in mind though, that this is an artist doll. It is a work of art and not a toy. The plush can't be washed if it gets dirty and may easily get damaged.
