Say hello to this rugged looking beauty! Young Rosebud is no pushover. She is a Navajo-Churro, a breed of sheep that has adapted to survive and thrive in the deserts of Mexico and south western USA. This heritage breed has a fascinating history and is considered to be the first truly American sheep. The Churro comes in a whole range of colors and is known to carry a gene that enable some individuals to develope multiple sets of horns, while others remain hornless.
Item description:
Rosebud is still a lamb and far too young to have horns of her own. She stands about 30 cm tall and measures 40 cm long. Rosebud's body is covered by flint grey swirly fur. It contrasts nicely against the reddish-grey fur found on her head and ears. She has a cute face with black eyes, a brown nose and ears that appear slighly droopy and are super soft. The feet are of the same color as the nose. Rosebud has been fitted with a large silver bell to ensure that she doesn't stray too far.
As with all the items in my store Rosebud was designed and made by me. A lot of effort has gone into making her as lifelike as possible. Rosebud's muzzle is very detailed and has a slightly opened mouth with a pink tongue that can be tucked away inside. Her feet are just as elaborate and sport actual cloven hooves and petite dew claws. Every one of these tiny details have been painstakingly sewn by hand. Production time for this plushie has been 4 days.
Materials:
This cute plushie was made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have cats.
The body is made from high quality faux fur with a dense and swirly fur structure. Super soft short pile minky was used to make the face and ears. The hairless details are made with synthetic suede, a fabric that is made to resemble brushed leather and has a soft feel to it. Micro fiber cloth was used for the tongue. Rosebud has been fitted with 14 mm plastic safety eyes, which are lined with black imitate leather to improve their shape and for an added touch of realism. Siliconized polyester fibers have been used to stuff the body until firm enough to stand properly.
The bell is 4 cm tall and has been attached to a custom made collar. The collar has a beautiful woven silver brocade on a dark blue base. It is fully removable and the inside has been lined with black fabric to make it more durable.
Usage:
This plushie is best used as an ornamental piece for indoors decoration purposes. It is not suitable as a toy and should be kept away from young children and pets at all times. It can be used for play with older children if handled gently. Keep in mind though, that this is an artist doll. It is a work of art and not a toy. The plushie can't be washed if it gets dirty and may easily get damaged.
