Item Description:

Meet Pepsi the posable plush puppy. This adorable girl has wonderfully fluffy paws and an adventurous spirit. She is already done exploring the garden and is itching for a new home. She has set her eyes on you and can't wait to embark on her next big adventure!

Pepsi stands about 18 cm tall and measures 30 cm from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail. She was modeled after the Border collie. This sheep herding breed loves to work and is extremely intelligent. Pepsi is of the longhaired variety and has fluffy, somewhat shaggy fur with black and white markings. She is still a wee puppy and has yet to grow into her body . She has stocky puppy legs and large paws with dark paw pads. Pepsi has a very lovable face that has been carefully thread sculpted and trimmed. She has a tiny black nose, a fuzzy muzzle and perky ears that are folded. It is easy to forget that Pepsi is a plush while gazing into her eyes. They are very lifelike and it almost seems like she is eagerly waiting for you to engage with her and teach her new tricks!

As with all items in my store, Pepsi was designed and made by me. A lot of effort and care has gone into making her as lifelike as possible. She has many thread sculpted details, which help lend shape to her body and face. Special care has gone into making the paws, which are adorned by padded paw pads that are delightfully soft when touched. Pepsi was originally very furry and a lot of fur had to be cut away in order to bring out all the details that were lost among all the hair. She has been fitted with button joints and features posable legs. Pepsi is 100% hand sewn and was produced over a period of 6 days.

Materials:

This cute puppy was made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have a cat.

Pepsi's body is made from two shades of regular quality faux fur with a pile length of 12 mm. Faux upholstery suede has been used to reinforce it in some areas and it has been lightly stuffed with siliconized polyester fibers. The paw pads and insides of the ears are made from synthetic suede, a fabric that is soft to the touch and resembles brushed leather. Styrofoam beads have been used to provide padding to the paw pads. Pepsi's eyes measure 10 mm across and are lined with imitate leather to improve their shape and to give them character. Both eyes and nose are made of plastic and are attached with plastic washers for added safety.

The joints are handmade and consist of two large plastic buttons joined together by a length of braided upholstery thread. Button joints work by connecting two adjacent limbs and sandwiching the body in between. This setup keeps each limb tight to the body and allows for gentle posing, but is susceptible to breaking.

Usage:

Pepsi is for ornamental use only. She is a work of art and is best used for indoors decoration purposes and for photographing. She is never to be used as a toy and should be kept away from children and pets at all times!

Keep in mind that;
_* Button joints can easily be provoked into breaking by turning a limb full circle repeatedly. This over rotation causes the string that holds the limbs together to overtighten and break. Once this has happened both associated limbs will come off.
_* Over rotation can build up over time. You can see this by the plush becoming more narrow. This is due to the tightening string pulling the limbs closer together. Should this happen while you handle the plush, it is important that you counteract the tightening by revolving the limb in the opposing direction of what you were doing. If you got it right, you will see the limbs moving further apart as the tension is lessened.
_* Broken joints and lost limbs can be replaced in this type of plush. So even if the plush does fall apart, all is not lost.
_* This plush is frail and can not be washed.
