Say hello to Tabi Tabs. This beautiful lamb has the most gorgeous looking black fur and was inspired by the Old Norwegian, a primitive breed of sheep that comes in a multitude of colors. The Old Norwegian is a direct descendant of early domesticated sheep that were common throughout Skandinavia during the Bronze age. Perfectly adapted to the incredibly harsh climate of coastal Norway it has managed to remain virtualy unchanged throughout the ages.
Domestic sheep are often easy prey for predators. Old Norwegian Sheep however have a unique tactic to ward off predators and will often outsmart their attackers. They thrive living in large herds and have a strong flocking instict. When the herd comes under attack the weak animals will go into hiding, while the strongest animals take on the role as decoys and encourage the predator(s) to chase them until exhausted. This unique way of avoiding predation makes them difficult to herd with normaly trained dogs.
Item description:
Tabi Tabs is covered from top to toe by black fine curly fur. It has a nice volume and beautiful luster. Tabi Tabs has a cute black face with a dark v-shaped nose, brown eyes and large ears that are super soft. The ears stand out to the sides and have black insides. The feet are the same black color as the nose. Tabi Tabs has been fitted with a bell to ensure that she doesn't stray too far.
This plushie is made upon order. As with all items in my store, the above plushie was designed by me and will also be reproduced by me. A lot of effort and care goes into making a realistic plushie like this. Particularly into the head and feet, which are all hand sewn and contain many minuscule parts that are notoriously hard to assemble. Once finished this plushie will stand about 30 cm tall and measure 40 cm long. It will also be wearing a beautiful custom made brocade collar with a large bell. The collar is fully removable and the inside has been lined with black fabric to make it more durable. The collar is available in multiple colors.
Materials:
This plushie will be made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have a cat.
The body will be made from fashion grade faux fur with dense, curly ratinee-style fur. The nose and feet will be made with synthetic suede, a fabric that is made to resemble brushed leather and has a soft feel to it. Short pile minky will be used for the furry parts of the head and micro fiber cloth for the tongue. The plushie will be fitted with plastic safety eyes that measure 14 mm across and are fastened with washers. Imitate leather will be used to outline the eyes to improve their shape and to make them more life like. The body will be stuffed with siliconized polyester fibers until firm enough for the plushie to stand properly.
This plushie comes with a custom made collar. The collar is available in three different colors and has a beautiful woven brocade pattern. It is fully removable and the inside is lined with black fabric to make it more durable.
Finishing a made-upon-order plushie usually takes me 1-3 weeks, but I may need longer, depending on how busy I am at the time of the order. Once finished the plushie will be shipped within 2-3 workdays.
Usage:
This plushie is best used as an ornamental piece for indoors decoration purposes. It is not suitable as a toy and should be kept away from young children and pets at all times. It can be used for play with older children if handled gently. Keep in mind though, that this is an artist doll. It is a work of art and not a toy. The plushie can't be washed if it gets dirty and may easily get damaged.
