Say hello to Moe! This handmade sheep plushie stands about 30 cm tall and is made to be semi-posable, meaning that it is able to alter between basic standing and sitting positions. It is made in a lifelike style and features markings that are inspired by the Valaise Blacknose sheep breed. The plushie is rich in realistic details. The muzzle, for example, has a faux leather nose and a slightly opened mouth, with a little tongue that can be tucked away inside it. The feet have been given just as much attention to detail and sport actual cloven hooves and petite dew claws. Every single one of these tiny details, along with the aforementioned body markings have been assembled by hand. All in all this highly decorative plushie is made from a whopping 129 handsewn pieces!
This plushie has been made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have cats.
The wooly part of the body is made from super soft llama style faux fur with tight curls and a pile length of about 50 mm. The markings and lower portion of the legs is made with two types of coarse curly faux fur with much shorter pile lengths. The feet are made from synthetic suede, a fabric that is made to resemble brushed leather and has a soft feel to it. The less furry parts of the muzzle are made with two lengths of minky and the tongue is made from velour. The plushie has been fitted with 14 mm plastic safety eyes. Black imitate leather has been used for the nose, and to outline the eyes, in order to improve their shape and make them look more lifelike. Siliconized polyester fibers have been used to stuff the plushie. The legs have been sealed off internally, allowing them to be more firmly stuffed than the rest of the body. Plastic beads have been added to the tail tip and feet for extra weight.
The curly fur on this plushie is very delicate and prone to damage, even when handled gently. Therefore, this plushie should only be used as an ornamental piece for indoors decoration purposes, or as an occational photo prop. It is in no way suitable to be used as a toy and should be kept away from children, curious adults and pets at all times. The curly fur can't be brushed or washed, without causing permanent damage to its curled texture.
