Item Description:
Say hello to Audrey. This semi-posable and gorgeous looking lamb plushie was inspired by the Danish Landrace, a hardy breed of longtailed sheep endemic to Jutland in Denmark. The Danish Landrace sheep is a fairly small and light breed, that has adapted well to life among the windswept and nutrient poor sand dunes of western Jutland.
Audrie is covered from top to toe by dense, curly fur that is very soft to the touch. It has a beautiful color simillar to that of unbleached white wool. Most of Audrey's head is covered by thick wool. She has a cute cream colored face with a dark v-shaped nose, brown eyes and medium sized ears that stand out to the sides and have pink insides. The muzzle features a slightly opened mouth with a pink tongue, that can be tucked away inside. The feet are are of a light tan color and sport actual cloven hooves and petite dew claws. Audrie has been fitted with a bell to ensure that she doesn't stray too far.
This plushie is made upon order. As with all items in my store, the above plushie was designed by me and will also be reproduced by me. A lot of effort and care goes into making a realistic plushie like this. Particularly into the head and feet, which are all hand sewn and contain many minuscule parts that are notoriously hard to assemble. Once finished this plushie will stand about 30 cm tall and measure 40 cm long. It will also be wearing a beautiful custom made brocade collar with a large bell. The collar is fully removable and the inside has been lined with black fabric to make it more durable. The collar is available in multiple colors.
Materials, production and dispatch:
This plushie will be made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have cats.
The body will be made from high quality faux fur with a dense, curly structure mimicing lamb wool. The nose and feet will be made with synthetic suede, a fabric that is made to resemble brushed leather and has a soft feel to it. Short pile minky will be used for the furry parts of the head and upholstery grade velour for the tongue. The plushie will be fitted with plastic safety eyes that measure 14 mm across and are fastened with washers. Imitate leather will be used to outline the eyes to improve their shape and to make them more life like. The legs will be sealed off from the rest of the body, allowing them to be stuffed firmly enough to carry the weight of the the body, while the rest of the plushie is stuffed very lightly. Plastic beads will be added to the tail to keep it in a downward position.
Usage:
This plushie is best used as an ornamental piece for indoors decoration purposes. It is not suitable as a toy and should be kept away from young children and pets at all times. It can be used for play with older children if handled gently. Keep in mind though, that this is an artist doll. It is a work of art and not a toy. The plushie can't be washed if it gets dirty and may easily get damaged.
